This new UPMC initiative will allow patients in the northern-most parts of Pennsylvania (as well as parts of New York and Ohio) to receive the spinal care they need without having to drive hours-on-end to see the best, most experienced spine doctors.
How does tele-consulting work?
First, patients who are referred by their PCP for having neck and back problems will book an appointment with Three Rivers Orthopedics for a Teleconsult at Northwest Hospital.
Next, patients will be checked in and have their vitals taken by the caring and compassionate staff at UPMC’s Northwest Hospital.
Then, with the assistance of the knowledgeable Northwest staff, patients will be seen by our doctors as if they were sitting in our St. Margaret office!
