Born and raised in the Pittsburgh suburbs, Dr. Heidenreich wanted to raise his own family here. After graduating from Notre Dame, attending medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and completing his residency through Washington University, Dr. Heidenreich came back to his hometown to practice medicine.

“I wanted my family to grow up where I did. So, I looked for a practice with a good reputation, where teamwork was important. Three Rivers Orthopedic Associates fit the bill,” said Dr. Heidenreich.

According to Dr. Heidenreich, who is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, teamwork results in the ability to deliver patient-centered care.

Dr. Heidenreich specializes in hip and knee replacements, sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He also has completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics.

In addition to caring for patients for over 14 years, Dr. Heidenreich currently serves as the team physician for the Valley High School football team. He previously served as the team physician for Carnegie Mellon University. He has been published in several medical journals and he offers his sports medicine expertise to athletic training students at Duquesne University.
