Dr. Sasala is the newest member of Three Rivers Orthopedic Associates, joining in 2021. He specializes in primary hip and knee replacement, including direct anterior hip replacement, hip resurfacing and revision surgery for failed hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Sasala is a native of Kittanning, PA and is thrilled for the opportunity to return to his hometown to care for the patients of Western PA. He graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University, where he also completed medical school. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He gained additional subspecialty training through a fellowship in Joint Preservation, Resurfacing and Replacement at Washington University in St Louis.

Dr. Sasala is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He has presented clinical research at the state and national level and has published his research in medical journals.

Outside of the office, he enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with his wife and their new Labrador puppy.
